REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BALIKPAPAN -- The National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) RI is preparing 10 priority programs for 2025 to help alleviate poverty in Indonesia.

This was presented by Deputy II of BAZNAS RI Dr Imdadun Rahmat, in the III Plenary Session “Distribution” of the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of BAZNAS throughout Indonesia in 2024 in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, on Thursday evening (26/9/2024).

“By 2025, BAZNAS has prepared 10 priority programs that are expected to bring real changes to society's economy,” Imdadun said.

He explained that the programs cover various aspects ranging from economic empowerment, education, health, to technology-based programs that will increase the efficiency and scope of zakat distribution to those eligible to receive it.

“Through these priority programs, BAZNAS focuses not only on material assistance, but also on sustainable empowerment,” he said.

Imdadun emphasized that BAZNAS wants to ensure that people who receive zakat, infak, and alms can be economically independent, physically healthy, and have access to proper education.

“In doing so, we are not only helping them to survive, but also giving them opportunities to thrive,” he said.

On that occasion, Imdadun revealed 10 Priority Programs of BAZNAS in 2025 namely, BAZNAS Healthy Homes (RSB), BAZNAS Microfinance, Kampung Zakat, Santripreneur, BAZNAS Scholarships, Z-Chicken, Z-Mart, Habitable Homes, Extreme Poverty Alleviation and Stunting, and BAZNAS Disaster Response (BTB).

“With support from a wide range of parties, from the government, the public, to the private sector, we are optimistic that poverty alleviation targets can be achieved. Let's make zakat an effective solution in creating social justice,” he concluded.

Rakornas BAZNAS 2024 was held in Balikpapan for three days on September 25-27, 2024, attended by 1,200 participants from the leadership of BAZNAS throughout Indonesia from the Center, 38 Provinces, and 514 Districts/Cities with the theme “Synergy of Inclusive Zakat Management for Poverty Management and Welfare in order to Succeed Astacita”.
