“The meeting we are holding will build synergies, strategic programs especially related to the provincial government's programs, for example related to the decline of stunting,” Khofifah told the media crew after the inauguration of the Muslim Region Leader of NU Malut on Sunday (14/1/2024).
Khofifah said it became PP Muslimat NU's line to build a nationwide stunting decline movement. “To be passed on to children branch to branch, that one of the programs that should be maximized by 2024 is a reduction in stunting to go hand in hand with the target of a 14 percent reduction in stunting in each region,” he said.
Earlier, representatives of Malut's National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) staged an increase in cadre capacity in an effort to accelerate the decline of stunting especially in outlying island areas. Pokja KSPK Chairman of BKKBN North Maluku Representative Maurend Jully Lesar said BKKBN focused on increasing BKB cadre capacity in accelerating stunting decline in Malut.
Maurend Jully, on that occasion said that this activity was carried out to improve the knowledge, skills and attitudes of families with early childhood 0 to 6 years in fostering a thorough and integrated development in order to achieve optimal early childhood development.
In addition, it also increases knowledge and insight in mentoring families at risk of stunting. “This activity is also carried out with the objectives of policy stakeholders and families with early childhood 0 to 6 years, BKB program managers and family support teams composed of midwives and health workers among the cadres of TP PKK, PKB and PLKB,” Maurend said.
